Slide Copies

During the Covid Pandemic, I needed something to do so I could fill some time. So I decided to turn my old enlarger into a copy stand. I made a mount for a camera that would allow me to raise and lower the camera and give me the ability to fine tune the focus with a 105mm 1:1 macro lens. I used a daylight balanced led light pad to back light the slides and negatives. I had to also make a sort of lens hood to keep light from reflecting off the surface of the slide or the negative. It worked better than I thought and I have used this process to save some older images and to copy slides for several clients as well as copying negatives for people and digitally “repairing” them by removing dust, scratches etc.
